Coconut Oil - It does the body good.

I have many interests other than painting and being proactive in the health department is one of them. I'm an avid lover of coconut oil...so much that I have a jar of near my shower at all times. I lather it all over my skin after I get out..especially on my face and neck. If I forget to use facial lotion that day...I'm covered. My skin loves it and soaks it right up.

I'm not the only one I love coconut oil for....my shih tzu, Lily, eats it. I give her the good stuff (see photo) that I bought at a local herb store...called  Herbs and More in Encinitas, CA. It's owned by Steve Marmor, an herboligist, who speaks my herbal language. I shave about a teaspoon into her bowl (it's rather hard as it has to be in the fridge) and she licks it right up and even faster if I put a treat on it. She's such a pig. After a couple weeks of her ingesting coconut oil, I have noticed more pep in her step (she's 11...old lady) and the vet recently told me her teeth and coat look great.  Now, I've started to shave some into my morning yogurt. We could all use more pep in our step!

Coconut oil - bring more pep to your step!

A Hard Day's Night

It's been a hard day's night and I've been working like a dog...for my dog...literally. My little Miss Piggy, Lily, has a growth on her eyelid that needs to be removed as it's getting bigger and irritating her so much she rubs it into infection mode. That put a faster fire under me to get my "shop" created on my website and to start selling my mini art and such on here as soon as I can.

Anything for my girl.

Pets are family and she's been my best friend, copilot, buddy, confidant, free loading roommate for the past 11 years and I'd like a few more or more!

Stay tuned in seeing what types of art products I add into my "Shop."

Meet Lily Monet.  She's a Taurus, loves her belly rubbed, and will give you hugs on your lap and on your chest (I taught her "morning hugs" to start the day right).  She enjoys short walks, long car rides, and letting you know she's hungry (which is every five minutes...hence the nickname "Piggy"). That's about it. She's pretty chill, like a cat, unless you are gone too long then she lets you have it verbally. Here she is on her 11th birthday (May 5, 2015) after getting all pretty by the sweet Nancy at Animal Attraction in San Diego, CA.  I highly recommend them for grooming if you live in that area. Lily goes there almost every month since I've had her (11 years strong).  She's pretty much family at this point.
